About this role

MUSC Health Charleston is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment. You'll work 5x8-hour day shifts with start times between 6:30 AM and 10:00 AM, and end times between 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM. No holiday shifts or on-call requirements apply.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Performing a wide range of nuclear medicine procedures including PET/CT scans, bone scans, HIDA scans, MUGA scans, renal scans, gastric emptying studies, and ventilation/perfusion scans
  • Conducting nuclear cardiology procedures including pharmacological stress testing and exercise/rest studies
  • Drawing venous blood and starting and maintaining IVs
  • Handling, storing, and disposing of radioactive materials safely
  • Working with patients across all age groups from neonates through geriatrics

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of nuclear medicine experience; first-time travelers accepted
  • Level I and Level II trauma experience preferred
  • Required certifications: BLS, NMTCB(N) or ARRT(N), NMTCB(CT) or ARRT(R) or ARRT(CT), and SCRQSA State License in Nuclear Medicine and Radiology or Computed Tomography
  • Experience with Siemens equipment/scanners required
  • Epic charting experience preferred
  • Radiation badge required (provided by agency)

Assignment details:

  • No floating between service lines or sister facilities
  • May be required to work Saturdays up to twice a month if needed due to camera downtime or excessive backlog
  • Guaranteed hours: facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
  • Dress code: teal top and black pants
  • Parking pass available for $20 (one-time payment for nights and weekends only)

Weekly pay: $2,930. Assignment begins August 24, 2026.
