ED - Emergency Room

Opportunity:

RN - ED ER

Job Details:

• Work day/evening shifts of three 12-hour shifts per week for a total of 36 hours per week
• Shift start times of 1:00 PM, 3:00 PM, or 5:00 PM with corresponding end times of 1:00 AM, 3:00 AM, or 5:00 AM
• Required to float as a sitter and may float in rotation or to an additional campus
• Washington State or Compact RN Licensure required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC
• Coordinate and provide high quality patient care utilizing the nursing process and unit-specific standards of practice
• Develop, implement, and continually reassess individualized patient care plans
• Administer medications and complete nursing procedures and treatments
• Continually evaluate discharge plans for appropriateness and educational needs
• Accurately document care provided, assessments, plan of care, interventions, and patient responses
• Collect patient information needed to provide safe, high quality care
• Complete holistic ongoing assessments of patient status and respond appropriately
• Address physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs of patients
• Educate patients, families, and significant others on appropriate health information in a timely manner
• Maintain current knowledge base of workflows, processes, and evidence-based procedures
• Delegate appropriately and oversee care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel
• Communicate and collaborate with all members of the healthcare team
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff in accordance with hospital and unit policies
• Must function consistently within the guidelines of the Washington Nurse Practice Act and unit-specific standards of practice
