Pediatrics RN Job in Glendale, AZ

You will work as an RN in our Pediatrics unit at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center, located at 5555 W Thunderbird Rd in Glendale, AZ. This is a full-time position with a three-day, 12-hour night shift schedule. The assignment runs for 89 days, starting November 2, 2026, with weekly pay of $2,289.

Your Role

You will assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care for pediatric patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards. You will review patient history and physical information with patients and families, ensuring completion within appropriate timeframes. You will review diagnostic and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and other caregivers.

You will formulate and implement individualized plans of care, including discharge planning based on patient-specific needs and medical goals. You will delegate and supervise activities of the healthcare team while promoting continuity of care. You will evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising the plan of care as needed. You will document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and in a timely manner in the patient record.

You will participate in unit or facility shared leadership and contribute to the education, role development, and orientation of facility personnel. You may supervise staff and workflow of the department in some roles.

Schedule and Flexibility

This role includes a varied work schedule and you must be willing to float to NICU as needed.

Requirements

• Current, valid RN license in Arizona
• Minimum one year of experience in an acute care hospital setting, with specialty area experience within the past 12 months
• BLS and PALS certifications required
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
