Telemetry RN Job in Chesapeake, VA

Join Chesapeake Regional Medical Center as a Registered Nurse on our Med-Surg Telemetry unit. You will provide direct patient care on a high-volume post-surgical floor serving urology and gynecology surgical populations.

Position Details

• Schedule: 3x12-hour day shifts (weekly pay: $2,073.60)
• Contract length: 91 days
• Start date: November 9, 2026
• Every other weekend, floating, and holiday work required
• Typical patient ratio: 1:7

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia or Compact RN license at submission (no exceptions)
• Minimum two years recent relevant nursing experience
• BLS (American Heart Association) and ACLS certifications
• Proficiency in Epic electronic health record system (no exceptions)
• EKG test required—must score 80% or higher on first attempt only

Clinical Competencies

You must be comfortable with blood product administration, central line care and management, feeding tube care and management, heparin protocols, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV insulin protocols, PCA, PICC line management, renal failure monitoring, telemetry monitoring, tracheostomy care, wound care and wound vac management, and rapid response and code team protocols.
