Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work on a high-volume post-surgical unit caring for urology and GYN surgical patient populations
• Schedule options available: 3x12-hour shifts or 4x12-hour shifts per week
• Overtime paid after 48 hours for 4x12 schedules
• Every other weekend, floating, and holidays within the contract are required
• Typical patient ratio is 1:7 for days, nights, and weekends
• Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics
• Unit census of 14 beds
• Minimum of two years of recent relevant experience required
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Active Virginia or Compact RN license in hand at time of submission required; no exceptions
• Must be proficient in Epic; no exceptions
• Required certifications: BLS through the American Heart Association and ACLS
• Must be comfortable with skills including blood product administration, central line care and management, feeding tube care and management, heparin protocols, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, telemetry monitoring, tracheostomy care, wound care and wound vac, and use of Rapid Response/Code teams
• Continuous Bladder Irrigation experience required
• EKG testing required for this unit; must score 80% or higher to pass; one attempt given with no remediation available
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be accepted; driver's license required for address verification
