Telemetry RN Job in Chesapeake, VA

You will work as a Registered Nurse on a high-volume post-surgical telemetry unit (6W Med/Surg Tele) at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center. This role focuses on caring for urology and gynecological surgical patient populations in an adult and geriatric setting.

Schedule and Pay

• 3x12-hour night shifts
• Weekly pay: $2,205
• Assignment duration: 91 days
• Start date: October 19, 2026
• Every other weekend, floating, and holidays within the contract are required
• Must work two of the three winter holidays

Clinical Expectations

• Typical patient ratio: 1:7 for days, nights, and weekends
• Proficiency in Epic charting system (required, no exceptions)
• Skills required: blood product administration, central line care and management, telemetry monitoring, heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, wound care and wound vac, tracheostomy care and management, PICC line management, PCA, surgical drains, continuous bladder irrigation, and renal failure management

Requirements

• Active Virginia or Compact RN license at time of submission (required, no exceptions)
• Minimum two years of recent relevant experience
• BLS through the American Heart Association and ACLS certifications
• EKG testing required for this unit—must score 80% or higher on first attempt (no remediation available)
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be accepted
