PCU Registered Nurse Job in Lafayette, IN

IU Health Arnett Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for its Progressive Care Unit (PCU), a cardiac and medical step-down unit serving adult and geriatric populations. This is a travel nursing position based in Lafayette, Indiana.

Position Details

• Shift: 4x12 nights with 48 guaranteed hours per week
• Assignment duration: 84 days
• Start date: September 22, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,799.36
• Patient ratio: 4:1

Responsibilities

You will manage patients requiring cardiac interventions and advanced monitoring. Your daily work will include telemetry monitoring, IV starts, cardiac and vasoactive drip management (Levo, Dopa, Nitro, Cardizem, Amio), BiPAP and high-flow oxygen delivery, central line care, heparin protocols, blood product administration, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, post-cardiac angiogram care, and pre- and post-cardiac cath care. Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required. Weekend shifts are required, and you must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. No on-call is required.

Required Qualifications

• RN license (Indiana state license must be in hand at submission)
• Minimum 18 months of nursing experience
• Level I, II, III, or IV certification
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• Demonstrated competency in telemetry, IV starts, cardiac and vasoactive drip management, BiPAP/CPAP management, and high-flow nasal cannula

Preferred Qualifications

• NIHSS certification
• Ventilator management experience
• Charge nurse experience
• Conscious sedation certification
• Post-Watchman and ablation care experience
• Cerner charting system experience
• Titration of cardiac, vasoactive, and insulin drips
