Cath Lab Technologist - Cardiac Cath Lab

Job Details:

• Friday through Sunday day shifts, every other weekend, first to float
• Cases are performed with 2 techs — one scrubs and one monitors hemodynamics
• RN handles conscious sedation; a 4th person (RN or tech) may be present depending on the case
• A Lead Tech is responsible for making room assignments
• Facility operates 5 suites: 2 primarily for coronary cases, 1 for peripheral cases, 1 for vascular and neuro cases, and 1 for EP cases
• Average caseload ranges from 10 to 22 cases per day
• STEMI receiving facility — must be comfortable with cardiac, coronary, vascular, peripheral, general IR, and neuro intervention cases
• Must be comfortable with conscious and moderate sedation, procedural processes, airway management, cardiac drips (such as Integrilin, dopamine, and vasopressors), as well as balloon pumps
• Must have current cath lab experience
• Weeknight call rotation required once per week for inpatient and emergent cases
• Weekend call required once per month — runs from Friday evening through Monday morning, subject to change based on unit needs
• Charting system: Cerner
• Acute care setting
• Required certifications: ARRT, BLS Certification, Fluoroscopy
• RCIS and CCT certifications will NOT be accepted
• Agency provides traveler with rad badge
