Job Details:

• 12-hour variable shifts covering both days and nights
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• Float requirement to all inpatient units as needed, with potential to float to Eagle River, Tomahawk, and Rhinelander locations
• Floating may be prescheduled as needed
• Travelers may be placed on call during low census hours
• Minimum 1 year of short-term acute care inpatient experience required
• Required certifications: WI CNA, BLS
• Epic charting experience strongly preferred
• High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius
• Patient ratio of 1:10-1:15 in Critical Care and Medical-Surgical units
• Care for adult patients with conditions including respiratory illnesses, stroke, neurological conditions, gastrointestinal illness, diabetic management, renal failure, urinary tract disorders, sepsis, wound care, clotting disorders, infectious disease processes, and acute alcohol withdrawal
• Required skills include assisting with ADLs, obtaining full set of vitals, POC blood glucose monitoring, Foley care, bladder scanning, removing peripheral IVs, emptying ostomy pouches, 1:1 sitter care, operating lift equipment, postmortem care, occupied bed changes, behavioral health and withdrawal patient care, donning/doffing PPE, attaching telemetry leads, strict intake and output monitoring, ambulation assistance, and gait belt application and usage
• Must be a hard worker, resilient, and adaptable to change
• Ability to manage tasks independently while collaborating with team and ancillary staff
• Positive attitude and flexibility with constant shift changes required
