Job Details:

• 13-week contract with ASAP start date
• 12-hour variable day and night shifts
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• Float requirement to all inpatient units as needed, with potential to float to Eagle River, Tomahawk, and Rhinelander locations; floating can be prescheduled
• May be placed on call during low census hours
• Must live outside a 50-mile radius
• Minimum 1 year of short-term acute care inpatient experience required
• Required certifications: WI CNA, BLS
• Epic charting experience strongly preferred
• High School Diploma required
• Patient ratio of 1:10 to 1:15 on Critical Care Unit and Medical Surgical Unit
• Treat adult patients with conditions including respiratory illnesses, stroke, neurological conditions, gastrointestinal illness, diabetic management, renal failure, urinary tract disorders, sepsis, wound care, clotting disorders, infectious disease processes, and acute alcohol withdrawal
• Assist with activities of daily living, vital signs, point-of-care blood glucose monitoring, Foley care, bladder scans, removal of peripheral IVs, ostomy pouch care, 1:1 sitter care, lift equipment operation, post-mortem care, occupied bed changes, behavioral health and withdrawal patient care, donning and doffing PPE, telemetry lead placement, strict intake and output monitoring, ambulation assistance, chest tube care, and gait belt application
• Must be a hard worker who is resilient and manages change well
• Must be able to work independently, complete tasks in a timely manner, and collaborate effectively with team and ancillary staff
• Positive attitude and flexibility with constant changes throughout a shift required
