About this role
Lake Health District is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 17, 2026. This is a quick-start position with urgent need.
Role Overview
You will evaluate, select, and perform occupational therapy services for patients requiring rehabilitation. Working upon physician referral, you will design and direct educational, vocational, and recreational activities to restore maximum function for patients with physical and mental disabilities. You will collaborate closely with family members and interdisciplinary health team members to establish patient abilities and goals, ensuring a coordinated approach to rehabilitation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patient functional status and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
- Perform direct patient care and therapeutic interventions
- Direct assistance in educational, vocational, and recreational activities
- Communicate patient progress and goals with family and team members
- Maintain current knowledge of occupational therapy practices related to physical disability and rehabilitation procedures
- Apply principles of team approach and recognize capabilities and limitations of other professionals
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from AOTA-accredited college or university
- Current Oregon state occupational therapy license or eligibility for licensure
- Current CPR certification
- Current valid Oregon driver's license
- Knowledge of general medicine, surgical, and mental health concepts
- Positive attitude with strong communication and team interaction skills
Assignment Details
Shift: 10-hour shifts, Friday through Monday
Duration: 91 days
Weekly Pay: $1,880
Location: Lakeview, OR
