Operating Room RN Job in Saginaw, MI

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room at MyMichigan Health - Saginaw, supporting surgical teams and ensuring patient safety throughout procedures.

Your Responsibilities

• Assess surgical patient needs before and during procedures and maintain strict patient safety standards
• Develop, implement, evaluate, and document individualized care plans for patients during surgical procedures
• Supervise operating room activity and anticipate and coordinate any schedule changes
• Assemble equipment and supplies and assist anesthesia as necessary
• Monitor the sterile field throughout all surgical procedures
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, OR team, supervisors, and ancillary departments
• Provide leadership to the OR team and participate in staff development through preceptorship, in-services, and continuing education

Schedule and Assignment Details

• Schedule: 3x12 hour shifts, afternoons
• One 12-hour on-call shift required every week
• No weekend shifts required
• Assignment duration: 91 days
• Start date: September 22, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,314

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of RN OR experience
• Level 2 Trauma experience required
• Proficiency in Ortho, Vascular, Neuro, Gen/Gyn, and Urology required
• Active Michigan nursing license with LARA and/or Nursys verification
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Skills checklist current to within one year, pertinent to Operating Room specialty, required
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years required
• Recent travel work experience highly preferred
