Cat Scan Tech - Cat Scan Tech

Job Details:

• Work night shifts Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• On-call required 2 nights and holidays
• Perform CT imaging procedures including patient positioning, exposure factors, and radiation protection
• Verify clinician orders and obtain complete clinical history prior to performing procedures
• Administer contrast media following established procedures and monitor patients for contraindications
• Operate power injector and CT workstations proficiently
• Push and retrieve images from CT console to PACS system
• Maintain venipuncture competency
• Respond to emergency situations and maintain life support equipment
• Ensure proper patient identification using 2 unique identifiers prior to procedures
• Maintain and clean equipment in accordance with infection control policies
• Perform quality control tests per ACR and manufacturer recommendations
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Radiology required; CT experience preferred
• Required certifications: ARRT Radiography (ARRT-R), ARRT Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT), and BLS (AHA, ARC, or Instructor)
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required
• Must be able to function independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Must be flexible with work hours to meet department needs
