Opportunity:

RN - SICU

Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and TNCC
• Epic charting system experience required
• Every other weekend (EOW) schedule required
• No on-call requirements
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract
• May float to all ICU floors
• Patient ratio of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Serves adult and geriatric patient populations
• 10-bed unit
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Required skills include: arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, continuous IV sedation, CVVHD/CRRT, emergency medications, interpretation of arterial blood gases, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions and PPE, suctioning, and titration of vasoactive drips
• Patient diagnoses include vascular surgeries, EVAR, TEVAR, TCAR, radical neck, WHIPPLE, gynecologic oncology surgeries, necrotizing fasciitis, and complex abdominal surgeries
• Special procedures include DPR and open abdomens
• Special equipment includes CRRT and wound vac
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams
• Travelers will be expected to work 2 of 3 upcoming major holidays: Thanksgiving Day/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Years Eve/New Years Day
