ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - ICU Float Pool

Job Details:

• Float to all ICUs, step-down units, IMCU, and ED for ICU holds/borders
• May also float to Women's and Family unit as needed with orientation provided
• Patient ratios will not exceed 1:3 when assigned to any unit
• Normally assigned to units 24 hours in advance but may be pulled mid-shift to float to any unit
• Assess, implement, and evaluate care for assigned patients under the direction of a licensed physician
• Collaborate with patients, family members, and healthcare team members to individualize patient care
• Direct nursing support staff in the provision of patient care according to standards of nursing practice
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required with at least 1 year in ICU
• No new graduates will be considered
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Required certifications: Pennsylvania RN License, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• TNCC preferred
• No more than 5 days of requested time off; if 5 consecutive days, they may be added to the back end of the contract
• Travelers are not expected to work on holidays but must be available for days surrounding 1-2 holidays during the contract
