Respiratory Therapist Job in Florence, SC

Join McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, SC as a Registered Respiratory Therapist. This 91-day travel assignment runs 3x12 night shifts at $2,197 weekly, with no call responsibilities.

Role Overview

You will provide direct respiratory care across multiple settings within the facility, including intensive care step-down units and general floors. Your responsibilities include:

• Manage approximately 8 ventilated patients per shift in the unit
• Conduct floor assignments across 3-4 floors
• Perform 2-3 intrahospital transports per shift (CT, MRI, and specialty procedures)
• Respond to Code Blue and Rapid Response alerts promptly
• Provide hyperbaric medicine procedures for qualified staff
• Document patient records, charts, and reports in timely manner
• Maintain professional image and strong customer relations with patients, visitors, physicians, and colleagues

Equipment and Skills

You will work with equipment including Servo i ventilators, V60 BiPAP units, and iStat for ABG analysis. Specialized functions such as pulmonary function testing, methacholine challenges, hyperbaric medicine, NICU care, PICU care, and asthma education are performed by trained staff members.

Qualifications

Required certifications include RRT, BLS, and ACLS. You must exercise sound clinical judgment and assessment skills to provide appropriate patient care and participate in respiratory care educational activities and departmental meetings.

Schedule

Night shift schedule includes every other weekend. No call responsibilities required. Start date: October 4, 2026.
