Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• 3x12 shift schedule working with a patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13-week contract; cancelled shifts must be the regular assigned shift length
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off per 13-week contract
• Will float within service line as needed, including to other units such as surgical and telemetry
• Block scheduling not available
• Treat adult patient population with general medical and surgical diagnoses
• Required certification: BLS
• Preferred skills: Chemotherapy administration, charge nurse experience
• Required skills: Feeding tube care and management, non-invasive airway management, peripheral line care and management, monitoring chemotherapy
• Charting system: Epic
• Scrub color: Navy
• Orientation: 24 hours; some initial orientation will occur on weekdays as weekend classes may not be available

• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
