Emergency Room RN Job in Wichita, KS

Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS is seeking a registered nurse for the Emergency Department. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning September 22, 2026.

Position Details

• Schedule: 3x12 hour night shifts, 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM
• 52-bed Emergency Department
• Weekly pay: $1,926

Clinical Responsibilities

• IV starts, medication administration, and sedations
• Pediatric patient care with team nursing model
• Patient ratios: approximately 3:1 standard, 5:1 low acuity (estimated, not guaranteed)
• Medication and patient scanning per unit protocol
• Use of Alaris equipment and Meditech EMR system

Night Shift Staffing Structure

• 1 charge nurse, 4 nurses, 1 tech, 1 unit clerk, 1 physician, and 1 midlevel per pod

Required Qualifications

• Active Kansas RN license
• Minimum 1 year current ED RN experience
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH, and CPI Blue Card certifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Meditech EMR experience
• Experience in a 52-bed emergency room or larger
• Ability to maintain pace in a fast-paced, diverse emergency environment
