RN - Cardiac Cath Lab

Job Details:

• Work 4 ten-hour shifts per week, Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with one weekday off
• Call team coverage from 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM the following morning
• Typically 7-10 days of call per month, averaging 1-2 weeknight call shifts per week
• 1 weekend of call per month (Friday at 5:30 PM through Monday at 7:00 AM)
• Holiday call commitment typically includes 1 summer holiday and 1 winter holiday
• 30-minute call response time required
• Work in a facility with 3 rooms and a hybrid OR, averaging 15-20 cases per day
• Circulate cases including administering medications and sedation, and monitoring patients through procedures
• Scrub or monitor if trained to do so
• Work with a variety of cases including cardiac/interventional cardiology, interventional radiology, vascular, structural heart, and electrophysiology procedures
• Utilize EMR system Cerner and hemodynamic charting system Merge
• Work with room equipment including Phillips x-ray/table, ultrasound, impella, intra-aortic balloon pump, laser atherectomy, CSI, rotablator, angiojet, FFR, IVUS, OCT, and CO2 for angiography
• Prefer at least 2-3 years of experience in both IR and cath lab, as well as vascular and/or structural heart experience
• Hospital provides scrubs for use while in the cath lab - wear street clothing to work, change into provided scrubs, and change back before going home
• Floating to other departments is not typical but may occur if hospital census or critical staffing warrants it
• Up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment may be cancelled
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS (AHA)
