Job Details:

• Varied work schedule
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards
• Conduct patient assessments covering physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs
• Review patient history and physical with patient and family and ensure completion within appropriate timeframes
• Review diagnostic and laboratory data and report abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers
• Formulate individualized plans of care including discharge planning utilizing patient, family, and health team input
• Implement the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision of health care team activities
• Evaluate patient and family responses to care and teaching, revising the plan of care as needed
• Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and timely in the patient record
• Participate in unit or facility shared leadership and contribute to the education and orientation of facility personnel, patients, and families
• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice or compact RN licensure
• Minimum of one year of experience in an acute care hospital setting required, with experience in the specialty area within the past 12 months
• BLS certification required
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
