Med Surg RN Job in Nashville, TN

You will work as an RN on a Medical-Surgical unit at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. This is a 91-day travel contract beginning September 28, 2026.

Schedule and Pay

• Work 3 twelve-hour day shifts per week (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM)
• 2 weekends (4 shifts) per 4-week schedule
• Weekly pay: $1,772

Role Expectations

You will provide direct patient care with a 6:1 patient ratio. Your responsibilities include bedside shift reports, compassionate communication with patients and family members, and active engagement of patients and families in their plan of care. As contract labor, you will float first when needed.

Clinical Skills Required

• Starting IVs
• Basic wound care
• Maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes
• Ability to prioritize care and multitask
• Current experience in medical-surgical nursing

Equipment and Systems

You will work with IV pumps, telemetry, sequential compression devices (SCDs), continuous pulse oximetry, feeding pumps, patient-controlled analgesia (PCA), EKG machines, bladder scanners, and iMobile communication technology. Documentation occurs in the Meditech system.

Requirements

• Active RN license
• BLS certification
• Navy scrubs (tops and bottoms) required per dress code
