Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Care for adult and geriatric patients on a Med Surg Tele unit with a patient ratio of 1:5/6
• Weekend coverage required
• Self-scheduling unit
• 12-hour orientation included
• Two pre-approved time off requests allowed
• Manage TPN patients, wound care patients, drains, foleys, PEGs, PICCs, IV antibiotics administration, and narcotic administration
• Work alongside interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretary
• Wound care team rounds Monday through Friday with wound care NP and wound care nurse
• Epic charting system experience required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required
• First-time travelers accepted
• LTAC experience not required
• Block scheduling considered
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS (AHA)
• Compact or Louisiana license required
• Must reside more than 65 miles from facility address
