ED RN Job in Louisville, KY

You will deliver direct patient care in the Emergency Department at Baptist Healthcare System, Inc., working 12-hour shifts. This is a 96-week travel assignment beginning September 14, 2026, with weekly pay of $2,241.

Your responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments using the full nursing process, integrating critical thinking and clinical judgment
• Collect and document both objective and subjective patient data, considering cultural, age, and developmental factors in your care planning
• Identify patient risk factors and presenting complaints, gathering health information from the patient and family as needed
• Develop prioritized problem lists in coordination with the interdisciplinary team and establish desired outcomes aligned with the medical plan of care
• Communicate clearly with patients and families about procedures, treatments, and care processes
• Monitor patients continuously, recognize and respond promptly to changes in condition, and document ongoing assessments
• Delegate clinical tasks appropriately to team members and oversee the accuracy and completeness of delegated patient care
• Facilitate timely patient discharge by executing discharge orders and coordinating with Case Management
• Contribute to unit staffing and patient assignments based on available resources, unit activity, and patient acuity
• Participate actively in unit-based quality improvement initiatives focused on patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, and CAUTI monitoring
• Apply evidence-based nursing practices in accordance with hospital policy, regulatory standards, and professional guidelines
• Foster a positive, collaborative environment that supports healing and professional practice
