ED RN Job in Elizabethtown, KY

Baptist Healthcare System, Inc. is seeking a registered nurse for the Emergency Department in Elizabethtown, KY. This is an 89-week travel assignment starting September 28, 2026, offering $2,206 weekly.

Position Details

• Work three 12-hour shifts per week, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Weekend and holiday rotation required
• Full clinical autonomy within RN scope of practice

Core Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments considering culture, age, and developmental level
• Identify risk factors and collect objective and subjective data from presenting complaints
• Develop prioritized problem lists and desired outcomes in coordination with patients, families, and the inter-professional team
• Execute patient care therapies and procedures with appropriate clinical judgment
• Recognize, respond to, and communicate changes in patient condition
• Conduct and document ongoing assessments using the nursing process
• Delegate tasks appropriately and oversee team members in patient care activities
• Address patient educational needs and facilitate timely discharge

Quality and Environment

• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, and CAUTI monitoring
• Implement professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person within a caring, healing-focused environment
• Support organizational values and promote positive group dynamics
