Operating Room RN Job in Cedar Rapids, IA

UnityPoint – St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room on a temporary assignment. This is a 91-day contract beginning September 14, 2026, with a 5x8 rotating shift schedule and weekly compensation of $2,736.

Role Requirements:

• Minimum 24 months of current operating room experience required
• Travel nursing experience within the previous 15 months required
• Proficient experience with DaVinci robotics required
• Proficient vascular surgery case experience required (TCAR, TAVR, bypass, endarterectomy, embolectomy, AV fistula)
• Proficient general surgery experience required
• Spine experience preferred
• Scrub experience preferred
• EPIC EMR experience required
• BLS (AHA or ARC) and ACLS (AHA or ARC) certifications required
• Active Iowa license or compact/multistate license required

Facility Details:

You will work with robotic equipment including DaVinci Xi, Mako, and Rosa systems. Patient care operates on a 1:1 ratio. On-call schedule includes one night per week and up to one weekend per month. You are required to work 1–2 of 3 upcoming Summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Operating Room Nurse/RN skills checklist completion
• Professional reference from charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months
