Emergency Room RN Job in DeWitt, Iowa

Genesis Medical Center DeWitt is seeking a registered nurse (RN) for a 90-day travel assignment in the Emergency Room (ED). You'll join a dynamic team providing direct patient care in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Assignment Details:

• Location: DeWitt, Iowa
• Specialty: Emergency Room (ED)
• Duration: 90 days
• Start Date: July 27, 2026
• Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12.5-hour nights (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
• Weekly Pay: $2,316.60

Role Responsibilities:

As an ED RN, you will deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients presenting with acute and emergency conditions. Your responsibilities include patient assessment, medication administration, wound care, patient education, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary emergency team. You'll work with patients across all acuity levels and age groups, requiring strong clinical judgment and adaptability in an unpredictable environment.

Scheduling:

You'll work every other holiday (EOH) and weekend scheduling based on unit needs. Night shift work requires flexibility and strong communication skills with day and evening teams to ensure continuity of care.

Requirements:

You must hold an active RN license in Iowa and bring current emergency nursing experience. Strong assessment skills, clinical knowledge, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential. You should be comfortable with electronic health records (EHR) systems and eager to integrate quickly into the Genesis Medical Center culture.
