About this role

Bozeman Deaconess Hospital is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist for outpatient services. This is a 1.0 FTE position on a day shift schedule (5x8), running for 91 days starting August 3, 2026. You will earn $2,920 per week.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services with emphasis on outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation, including shoulders, elbows, wrists, and hands
  • Provide neurological rehabilitation services and evaluate physical and functional status, including muscle groups, motor function, upper extremity function, ADLs, coordination, and neurological status
  • Implement treatment plans using manual therapy, modalities, therapeutic exercise, splinting fabrication, and modifications
  • Prepare and instruct therapeutic exercise programs and develop home programs for patients
  • Document initial evaluations, re-evaluations, progress notes, daily treatment, education, and discharge summaries
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers in pain management, safety strategies, and functional improvement
  • Perform Functional Capacity Evaluations, Work Screens, and Driver's Evaluations as trained
  • Collaborate with other disciplines and healthcare providers for treatment planning and education

Requirements:

  • Graduate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited AOTA program
  • Montana Occupational Therapist licensure
  • American Heart Association BLS certification
  • Two years of hospital inpatient or outpatient occupational therapy experience preferred
  • Must live at least 90 miles away from the facility

Please note that this position may require working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts. On-call work may be required.
