Occupational Therapist Outpatient Job in Bozeman, MT

Bozeman Deaconess Hospital seeks a full-time Occupational Therapist for outpatient rehabilitation services. This is a 1.0 FTE position running 5x8 day shifts, based in Bozeman, Montana. The assignment is 91 days, beginning August 3, 2026. Weekly pay is $3,420.

You will provide occupational therapy services with a strong focus on outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation, including shoulders, elbows, wrists, and hands. You will also perform neurological rehabilitation services and evaluate physical and functional status, including muscle groups, motor function, upper extremity function, ADLs, coordination, and neurological status.

Your responsibilities include:

• Implement treatment plans using manual therapy, modalities, therapeutic exercise, and splinting fabrication and modifications
• Prepare and instruct appropriate therapeutic exercise programs and develop home programs for patients
• Document initial evaluations, re-evaluations, progress notes, daily treatment, education, and discharge summaries
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers in strategies to manage pain, improve safety, and function
• Perform Functional Capacity Evaluations, Work Screens, and Driver's Evaluations when trained
• Collaborate with other disciplines and healthcare providers for education and treatment planning

Please note that this position may require working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts. On-call work may be required.

Required qualifications: Graduate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited AOTA program, Montana Occupational Therapist licensure, and American Heart Association BLS certification. You must live at least 90 miles away from the facility. Two years of hospital inpatient or outpatient occupational therapy experience is preferred.
