Certified Surgical Technologist Job in Arcata, CA

You will work as a Certified Surgical Technologist at Mad River Community Hospital in Arcata, California. This is a travel position with a duration of 119 days, starting August 29, 2026.

Role and Responsibilities

• Serve as a scrub technologist in the operating room
• Perform surgical technology duties including instrument passing, sponge counts, and case setup
• Support endoscopy procedures as required
• Participate in shared on-call coverage including evenings and weekends

Schedule and Compensation

• Days shift
• 40 hours per week guaranteed, except during holiday weeks
• $60 per hour
• Weekly pay: $1,065

Requirements

• Allied Health Professional credential or equivalent
• Current Certified Surgical Technologist certification
• BLS certification required
• Current TB clearance required

You will be part of a collaborative surgical team at a community hospital setting. Your expertise in sterile technique and case management will be essential to supporting surgical procedures and endoscopy cases. The shared call model means you may be needed for evening and weekend coverage in addition to your day shift hours.
