Certified Surgical Technologist Job in San Francisco, CA

You will work as a Certified Surgical Technologist at Sutter Health CPMC Mission Bernal Campus, assisting in the preparation and execution of surgical procedures while maintaining quality patient care standards.

Role and Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments for routine and complex procedures
• Assist surgeons and surgical teams during surgery by performing delegated duties
• Monitor and maintain surgical field integrity and sterile technique
• Handle and manage specialized surgical equipment including DaVinci robotic systems, Hana table, Trios table, and BK ultrasound unit
• Float to additional Sutter Health campuses as needed
• Respond to on-call requests on a PRN basis

Experience and Specialties

You will work across orthopedic and total joint procedures, neurosurgery and spine surgery, robotic-assisted surgery (gynecology, general, and urology), ORIF, arthroscopy, ENT, and podiatry. Your patient population includes adolescents and adults. Strong experience with neuro, spine, and total joint cases is required, along with demonstrated competency in DaVinci robotic surgical systems.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years surgical technology experience; 3 years preferred
• Current CST licensure (NBSTSA) required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Community hospital experience required
• Trauma Level II facility experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience preferred

Schedule and Compensation

This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning November 2, 2026. You will work a 5x8 day shift schedule with variable start times ranging from 6:45 AM to 3:00 PM, and end times from 3:15 PM to 11:30 PM. Weekends are included in your rotation. Your weekly pay is $2,115.94.
