CT Technologist Job in Rockville, MD

AHC Shady Grove Medical Center is seeking an experienced CT Technologist to lead imaging operations in our radiology department. This is a 91-day travel position offering competitive weekly pay of $3,002.

Role and Responsibilities

• Perform CT imaging across multiple anatomical regions: abdomen, chest, head, pelvis, cervical, lumbar, thoracic, sinuses, soft tissue neck, and vascular studies
• Execute special procedures including biopsies, drainages, and cardiac cases
• Manage daily caseload of 100+ cases across 3 CT rooms in a 24-hour period
• Demonstrate proficiency in coronary CTA, CT arthrography, colonography, enterography, myelography, and brain perfusion imaging
• Perform 3D rendering techniques including maximum intensity projection, surface shaded displays, and volume rendering
• Conduct multiplanar reconstruction (MPR) and region of interest measurement (ROI)
• Prepare and administer contrast media, start peripheral IVs, and perform venipuncture
• Provide leadership including scheduling and protocol management
• Float within the hospital as needed and within scope of practice

Schedule and Duration

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM; every other Saturday 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM. Four 10-hour shifts weekly. Assignment begins November 16, 2026.

Requirements

• Minimum 8+ years of CT experience; 10 years preferred
• Current certifications: ARRT-CT, ARRT-R, BLS, and Maryland License
• Proficiency with GE PACS, Siemens, Siemens GoTop, Siemens XCite, GE 64 Slice, MedRad injectors, and Stellant Flex equipment
• Experience with Cerner charting system
• Community hospital experience required
• Ability to work with all age groups: infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Travel experience required; local candidates also accepted
• Management and lead experience in scheduling and protocol management
• Two supervisor references required
• Nicotine-free requirement
