CT Technologist Job in Rockville, MD

AHC Shady Grove Medical Center is seeking an experienced CT Technologist for a travel assignment in Rockville, Maryland. This is a lead technologist role ideal for professionals with strong imaging expertise and a commitment to quality patient care.

Position Details:

• Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 7:30 AM–5:00 PM; every other Saturday 7:00 AM–7:30 PM (5x8 days)
• Duration: 91 days
• Start date: November 2, 2026
• Weekly pay: $3,011
• Facility type: Community hospital

Core Responsibilities:

• Perform CT imaging across abdomen, chest, head, pelvis, cervical, lumbar, thoracic, sinuses, soft tissue neck, and musculoskeletal studies
• Execute advanced procedures including coronary CTA, brain perfusion, CT arthrography, myelography, enterography, colonography, and vascular CTA
• Conduct biopsies, drainages, and aspirations
• Prepare and administer contrast media; start peripheral IVs and perform venipuncture
• Apply 3D rendering techniques: maximum intensity projection, surface shaded displays, and volume rendering
• Perform multiplanar reconstruction (MPR) work
• Manage PACS systems, scheduling, and protocol management
• Support emergency department and ICU cases
• Handle daily caseloads of 100+ patients over 24 hours
• Work with patients across all age groups from infants through geriatrics

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of CT technologist experience
• Active Maryland or Compact license (must be in hand at submission)
• Certifications: ARRT CT, ARRT R, BLS
• Community hospital and LTAC experience
• Management and lead experience
• Cerner charting system proficiency
• Travel healthcare experience
• Willingness to float within the hospital and scope of practice
• Nicotine-free status required
• Two supervisor references required

Equipment Experience:

• Siemens GoTop, Siemens XCite, GE 64 Slice, MedRad injectors, Stellant Flex
• Radiation safety knowledge and ACR experience preferred
