Telemetry RN Job in West Des Moines, IA

You are a registered nurse with a steady hand for patient monitoring and a commitment to evidence-based care. MercyOne West Des Moines Medical Center is looking for an RN to join its Medical Surgical Telemetry unit on a 6-month travel contract.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical Telemetry unit
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs for patients requiring continuous observation
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate safe, effective patient outcomes
• Document clinical assessments and interventions according to facility standards
• Respond promptly to patient needs and changes in condition

Shift and Schedule

You will work three 12-hour day shifts per week, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Every other weekend and every other holiday are required as part of this assignment.

• Duration: 181 days (approximately 6 months)

• Weekly pay: $2,259

What We Expect

You hold a current RN license valid in Iowa and bring a solid foundation in patient care, critical thinking, and communication. Experience on a telemetry or medical-surgical unit is valuable. You are adaptable to a new facility culture, reliable in attendance, and willing to support your colleagues during peak census periods.
