Med Surg RN Job in Garrison, ND

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Med Surg/ED Swing unit at CHI St Alexius Health Garrison Hospital. This is a 182-day travel assignment beginning November 30, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,137.

Role and Responsibilities

• Work 12-hour shifts covering days (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM)
• Manage patient ratios of 1:4 for acute care, 1:6 for swing bed, and 1:4 for ED
• Float to the ED as needed and may work in a charge nurse capacity
• Titrate drips and read telemetry strips
• Operate respiratory therapy equipment including nebulizers, oxygen delivery (nasal and mask), ventilators, and CPAP devices
• Work every other weekend and every other holiday
• Manage flex time for call or standby requirements as first to float

Unit Details

The ED/Med Surg Swing unit has 22 beds and uses the MatrixCare/Matrix charting system. You may wear any color scrubs.

Requirements

• Minimum one year of Med Surg and ED experience
• Charge nurse experience required
• Current ACLS (AHA) certification
• Current BLS (AHA) certification
• Current PALS (AHA) certification
• Current TNCC certification
• BSN not required

You will join a team serving acute care, swing bed, and emergency department patients in a rural hospital setting in Garrison, North Dakota.
