Telemetry RN Job in Portland, ME

You'll work as a Registered Nurse in a float pool position at MMC-P Bramhall Campus in Portland, Maine. This is a 91-day travel assignment with 4x12 night shifts, earning $2,870 weekly with 48 guaranteed hours per week.

Role Overview

As a float pool RN, you'll rotate across multiple Medical, Surgical, and Cardiology units each shift. This requires flexibility and the ability to adapt quickly to different patient populations and unit layouts. Unit bed counts range from 15 to 40+ beds depending on where you're assigned. Patient ratios typically run 1:5 on nights, with possible 1:6 stretches during high census. Weekend scheduling varies based on unit needs, and there are no on-call requirements.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Read and interpret telemetry strips
• Operate Abbott Plum Pumps equipment
• Navigate the EPIC EMR system
• Maintain current RN license for the State of Maine
• Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred)

Experience Requirements

You must have a minimum of 1 year of travel nursing experience (2 years preferred). A minimum of 2 years of inpatient hospital experience is preferred, with Level 1 Trauma experience required in a facility with 500+ beds. Prior float pool experience is strongly preferred, and acute care hospital experience is required.

Onboarding and Expectations

You'll complete assigned education modules through the facility's Education Department on Day 1. Professional appearance is expected: clean, professional scrubs in any color. Jeans, t-shirts, open-toed shoes, and shoes with holes (such as Crocs) are unacceptable.
