Telemetry RN Job in Portland, ME

Maine Medical Center's Bramhall Campus is seeking a Registered Nurse for a travel position in Med/Surg Telemetry. This is a backfill role offering day shifts on a 4x12 schedule.

Position Details

• Weekly pay: $2,870
• Assignment duration: 98 weeks
• Start date: November 9, 2026
• Shift: 4x12 Days
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week with no call requirements

Role Expectations

You will care for patients with respiratory conditions, medical telemetry, surgical needs, sepsis, DKA, altered mental status, failure to thrive, respiratory failure, and acute on chronic medical conditions. Day shift med/surg patient ratios are 1:4–5; night shift is 1:5–6. IMC (Intermediate Care) ratios are 3:1.

Float requirements apply: IMC RNs may float to another IMC level of care unit or to med/surg as needed; med/surg RNs may float to another med/surg unit with similar level of care based on unit need and skill.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of nursing experience
• Experience with tracheostomies and reading/interpreting telemetry strips
• BLS certification required
• IMC RNs must have ventilator experience

Equipment and Systems

You will work with ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP, nasal cannula, non-rebreather masks, epidural pumps, IV pumps, specialty beds, PCA pumps, VAC dressings, and trach care/maintenance equipment. The facility uses Epic as its EMR system.

Professional attire is required; unprofessional clothing and shirts with logos other than hospital-related are not permitted.
