Opportunity:
RN - IR
Job Details:
• Monday through Friday day shift schedule, 4x9 hours, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• No call, no weekends required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Travel experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS (AHA or ARC only); PALS preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Requested time off maximum of 7 days per contract
• Manager interview required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• Collaborate closely with Interventional Radiologist and multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive patient care throughout preprocedural, intraprocedural, and postprocedural phases
• Conduct thorough preprocedural assessments and patient education
• Monitor and manage patient status during procedures, including vital signs and hemodynamic stability
• Provide postprocedural care including recovery monitoring and discharge instructions
• Rotate through CT, MRI, Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, and Interventional Radiology suites providing procedural-based care
• Assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Administer moderate sedation and other medications per protocol
• Monitor sedation levels and respond to changes in patient condition
• Utilize advanced clinical judgment to identify complications and initiate emergency protocols when necessary
• Care for patients across all age groups including adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Required skills include: End-Tidal CO2 monitoring, angioplasty, blood product administration, cardioversion, central venous access, chemoembolization, chest tube placement, embolization, interventional radiology, IV vasopressors, liver ablation, liver biopsy, lung biopsy, monitoring procedural sedation, nephrostomy, paracentesis, PICC line care and maintenance, procedural sedation administration, sheath removal and monitoring, thrombolytics, TIPS, ventilator management, vertebroplasty, and additional vascular and specialty procedures
