ED RN Job in Tucson, AZ

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an RN for the Emergency Department at BUMC South Tucson (2800 E Ajo Way). This is an 89-day travel assignment starting October 5, 2026.

Assignment Details

Role Responsibilities

You will assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards. You will perform comprehensive patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs. You will review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers. You will formulate and implement individualized plans of care based on patient-specific needs and medical plan of care. You will coordinate, delegate, and supervise activities of the health care team to implement the plan of care. You will evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising the plan of care as needed. You will document assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and timely in the patient record.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of ED RN experience required
• Prior travel healthcare experience required
• Level III Trauma Center experience required
• Arizona RN license required
• Required certifications: TNCC, NIHSS, BLS
• PALS certification preferred but not required
• Experience with psychiatric patients in an ED setting preferred
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Standard precautions required due to exposure to blood and bodily fluids
