ED RN Job in Tucson, AZ

BUMC South Tucson is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a travel assignment. You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week for 89 days, starting September 28, 2026. This is a Level III Trauma Center, and you'll be part of a fast-paced team delivering comprehensive emergency care.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments covering physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural needs
• Review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and caregivers
• Formulate and implement individualized plans of care aligned with medical orders and organizational standards
• Coordinate, delegate, and supervise health care team activities to implement the care plan
• Assess and document patient and family response to care and teaching, revising the plan as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the patient record

Requirements:

• Current Arizona RN license
• Minimum 2 years of ED RN experience
• Prior travel healthcare experience
• Level III Trauma Center experience
• Required certifications: TNCC, NIHSS, and BLS
• PALS preferred
• Experience with psychiatric patients in an ED setting preferred
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Comfort with standard precautions due to exposure to blood and bodily fluids
