Med Surg RN Job in Albany, GA

You'll work as a Registered Nurse in the acute medical-surgical unit at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, GA. This is a 119-day travel assignment beginning June 22, 2026.

Schedule and Compensation

• Three 12-hour day shifts per week (6:45 AM to 7:15 PM)
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday coverage as needed
• Weekly pay: $2,102.40

Unit Overview

• 44-bed acute care unit with 40 staff members
• Patient ratios of 1:5, potentially 1:6 on days and nights
• Float assignments to acute care and cardio units for medical patients, or emergency care for acute care patient holds
• Work with telemetry patients monitored on a separate unit
• CNAs maintain 1:8 to 1:10 ratios

Requirements and Credentials

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years specialty experience with at least 1 travel assignment
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• NIHSS (AHA) certification required
• Must maintain residence within 75 miles of your driver's license address to the hospital

Orientation and Systems

• General orientation: 1 week, including EMR training
• Floor-specific orientation: 2 days
• MEDITECH EMR system in use (experience preferred but not required)
• Scrub color: Caribbean Blue

Schedule Policies

• 12-hour cancellation policy applies every 2 weeks
