Opportunity:

RN - Acute Med Surg Acute Care

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday coverage as needed
• Patient ratios of 1:5, possibly 1:6 for both day and night shifts
• Must maintain strict 75-mile radius from address on driver's license to hospital
• Minimum 2 years in specialty with 1 travel assignment required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and NIHSS (both must be AHA)
• Caribbean blue scrubs required
• MEDITECH EMR system (experience preferred but not required)
• Work on 44-bed unit with 40 staff members
• Telemetry patients monitored on different unit
• Floating required to all acute care and cardio units for medical care, or EC for acute care patient holds
• CNAs available at 1:8 ratio, generally 1:10, also serve as sitters
• General orientation is 1 week including EMR training
• Floor-specific orientation is 2 days
• 12-hour cancellation policy every 2 weeks
