Med Surg RN Job in Albany, GA

You'll work as a Registered Nurse in the 44-bed Med Surg unit at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia. This is a 119-day travel assignment starting July 3, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,258.

Schedule and Staffing

• 3x12 hour day shifts (6:45 AM to 7:15 PM)
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday shifts as needed
• Patient ratio of 1:5, occasionally 1:6
• CNA support available at 1:8 to 1:10 ratio

Responsibilities and Environment

• Provide direct patient care in acute medical-surgical settings
• Floating required to all acute care units, cardiology for medical patients, and Emergency Care for acute care patient holds
• Telemetry monitoring available on a separate monitored unit
• Charting system: Meditech (experience preferred but not required)
• Scrub color required: Caribbean Blue

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• At least 1 prior travel assignment required
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Current NIHSS certification (AHA)
• BSN not required

Orientation

• General orientation: 1 week including EMR training
• Floor-specific orientation: 2 days

Residency Requirement

You must reside within 75 miles of the hospital per your driver's license address.
