Med Surg RN Job in Augusta, GA

AU Medical Center, Inc. in Augusta, Georgia is seeking an RN for an acute care inpatient position on the night shift. You will work 3 shifts of 12 hours each week, from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, for a 91-day assignment beginning August 27, 2026. Weekly compensation is $1,828.

Role Responsibilities

• Perform the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care tailored to population-specific characteristics such as age, gender, and diagnosis
• Partner with patients and significant others through bedside shift reports, interdisciplinary rounds, and patient teaching
• Coordinate and document safe, quality patient care within an interdisciplinary team environment
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and shared governance activities
• Serve as a preceptor or mentor for other nursing staff and students as needed

Requirements

• Current RN license (single state or multi-state compact accepted)
• Minimum 3 years of acute care experience
• Associate's, Diploma, or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred)
• BLS certification required upon hire (AHA or American Red Cross accepted)
• Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and customer service skills
• Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies in a decisive and composed manner
• Strong critical thinking, time management, and evidence-based practice skills
• Basic computer skills to support clinical care and documentation
