Registered Nurse - CVOR

Job Details:

• Monday through Friday schedule with call requirements
• Call coverage every other weekend beginning Friday at 3:00 PM through Monday at 6:30 AM
• Weekly call requirement of 2-3 days from 3:00 PM to 6:30 AM
• Block scheduling type
• Patient ratio of 1:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Weekend coverage required
• 40 orientation hours required
• Minimum 3 years of experience required; 5 years preferred
• Travel experience required
• Must be able to circulate
• Epic charting system experience required
• Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Valid California RN license required
• This position supports a new startup CVOR program — a unique opportunity to help build a cardiovascular surgery program from the ground up, contribute to program development, and help establish workflows
• After-hours case volume is currently expected to be relatively low as the program ramps up
• Patients served include adults and geriatrics
• Key skills include: Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG), CVOR, Cardiovascular Surgery Scrub/Circulating, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Femoral Cannulation, Surgical Aortic Valve Replacement (SAVR), Mitral Valve Replacement, MAZE Procedure, Endovascular Aneurysm Repair, Hybrid OR, VATS, and additional surgical and perioperative competencies
