Opportunity:

RN - Cardiac Tele

Job Details:

• Day shift position from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week assignment length
• Weekend hours as required by the facility
• Call requirements as required by the facility
• Float requirements as required by the facility
• Patient ratio of 1:6 (estimates, not guarantees)
• Care for post cardiac cath, AFib, CHF, stable MI, post heart caths with interventions, pacemaker insertion, non-titrated cardiac drips, and general medical overflow patients
• Must be competent with insulin drips, Precedex, titrating nitroglycerin, Cardizem, and BiPAP
• Step down unit also takes post-op surgical patients and trauma patients
• Utilize nursing process to provide patient care and maintain professional accountability
• Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments
• Equipment used includes IV pumps, computers, glucometer, and GE monitoring equipment
• EMR system: EPIC
• 2+ years of stepdown or ICU experience in an acute care hospital required
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS from AHA only, NIHSS
• Current RN license required - must meet criteria for eligibility for licensure in Missouri or currently licensed in Missouri
• Must wear black scrubs only; no other attire is acceptable
• Must be flexible, dependable, and hardworking with strong teamwork skills
