Respiratory Therapist Job in Indianapolis, IN

IU Health Methodist Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join their Respiratory and Neuro Diagnostics team in Indianapolis, Indiana. This is a travel position with a 91-day duration, starting October 5, 2026.

Position Details

• Shift: 4x12 Nights
• Weekly pay: $2,336
• Patient populations: Adults and Geriatrics
• Floating required between Methodist, University, Fishers, and Morgan locations

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience with 18 months recent ICU experience
• Current NBRC (RRT) credential and Indiana state license
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
• Education accredited through CoARC and regionally accredited through CHEA
• Every other weekend required (Saturday and Sunday)
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays

Core Responsibilities

• Adult critical care respiratory support and management
• BiPAP and CPAP therapy delivery
• High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) administration
• Arterial blood gas (ABG) drawing and interpretation
• Mechanical ventilation setup, troubleshooting, and weaning
• Intubation and extubation assistance
• Tracheostomy care and management
• Oral and nasal suctioning
• Sputum specimen collection
• High-pressure alarm troubleshooting

Preferred Qualifications

• Cerner charting system experience
• First-time travelers are welcome

You will float 100% within IU Health Methodist Hospital or to nearby affiliate locations. This role offers the opportunity to expand your clinical skills across multiple critical care settings while working with a collaborative healthcare system.
