Respiratory Therapist Job in Lafayette, IN

Join Franciscan Health Lafayette as a Registered Respiratory Therapist on a 91-day travel assignment. You'll work 3x12-hour day shifts (6:00 AM–6:30 PM) with every other weekend required and no on-call duties.

Role Overview

You'll provide respiratory care across multiple acute care settings including ICU, Med Surg, ER, and NICU. Patient care follows an RVU-based ratio system, and you'll manage a heavy patient load while working independently and supporting higher-acuity cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage ventilators, BiPAPs, Heated High Flow, and other advanced respiratory equipment
• Assist with intubations and bedside bronchoscopies
• Perform skilled NICU care at Level 3 proficiency
• Chart proficiently in EPIC and other EMR systems
• Demonstrate strong time management across multiple units

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist credential
• ACLS, PALS, BLS, and NRP certifications
• Acute care experience in Med Surg, ER, and ICU
• Hands-on experience with ventilators, BiPAPs, and Heated High Flow units
• Experience assisting with intubations and bronchoscopies
• Proficient EPIC charting skills
• Ability to work independently and self-motivate

Equipment You'll Use

Ventilators PB, Draeger V500, Aerogen, V60 BiPAP, HHFNC, Hamilton C-Transport, Oscillator, Jet, NITRIC, and Bubble CPAP.

Assignment Details

Start date: October 5, 2026. Weekly pay: $1,971. Dress code: Pewter gray scrubs required. This is a focused opportunity to expand your skills across multiple respiratory care settings in an established health system.
