OR RN Job in Nashville, TN

Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a 182-day travel assignment. You'll work a 3x12 day schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with days varying based on unit needs. Block scheduling is not available. Late stays occur approximately four times per 13-week contract period, typically extending no more than one hour past shift end.

You'll be based in the OR Float Pool at this 1,000+ bed Level 1 trauma center. The 56-bed OR handles both inpatient and outpatient cases, with 5 additional procedural rooms. You'll work with all service lines and case types including neuro, trauma, general, ortho, GYN, urology, ENT, plastics, cardiothoracic, vascular, transplant (liver, renal, pancreas), robotic, and hybrid rooms (cysto, bronch, and lead extraction). Some assignments exclude cardiac and transplant/trauma/neuro cases. You may float between OR units but not between locations.

Required qualifications:

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience
• Circulating experience required; scrub experience not required
• Prior travel healthcare experience required
• BLS certification
• Comfort working with adult patients only—no pediatric cases

You are expected to work 2 of 3 holidays. Excessive time off will not be approved. There is no float requirement outside of the OR.

This assignment begins November 16, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,472.
