OR RN Job in Nashville, TN

You will work as an RN in the Operating Room at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, a 1,000+ bed Level 1 trauma center in Nashville, Tennessee. This is a 182-day travel assignment with a start date of October 12, 2026.

Shift and Schedule

• Work 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
• Day shifts run 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Days vary week to week based on unit needs—no block schedule
• Late stays required: expect four late stays per 13-week contract, typically staying no more than one hour past shift end
• Limited time off; plan to work 2 of 3 holidays

Role and Environment

• Based in the OR Float Pool serving a 56-bed operating room (inpatient and outpatient)
• Five procedural rooms across all adult service lines
• Circulating experience required; scrub experience not required
• May float between OR units but not between locations

Case Types

You will encounter a wide variety of procedures: neuro, trauma, general, orthopedic, gynecology, urology, ENT, plastics, cardiothoracic, vascular, transplant (liver, renal, pancreas), robotic, hybrid rooms (cystoscopy, bronchoscopy, lead extraction), ambulatory orthopedic, burn, and hepatic-biliary. Cardiac, transplant, and trauma/neuro service lines are excluded from your assignment.

Qualifications

• Current RN license (Michigan license must be on file at submission)
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience
• Prior travel healthcare experience required
• BLS certification required

Compensation

You will earn $2,472 per week.
