Respiratory Therapist Job in Asheville, NC

You will work as a Respiratory Therapist in the Respiratory Services department at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. This is a travel assignment with a duration of 91 days, starting July 20, 2026.

Schedule & Compensation

• Shift: 3 nights per week, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekly pay: $1,971
• Varying weekend schedule with at least 4 weekend shifts per 6-week cycle

Role Details

You will be based in the main Respiratory Services department (Floor A343) and float to all critical care units and floors as assigned. You will work with adult service lines, NICU, and pediatric service lines depending on facility needs. Patient ratios range from 10 to 25 patients per shift.

• GE R860 Adult ventilators
• Draeger Infant and Pediatric ventilators
• Newport HT70 transport ventilator
• V60 non-invasive device
• Vapotherm and Comfort Flow high-flow oxygen devices
• Cerner EMR system

Requirements

• Current RRT certification
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• North Carolina Respiratory License
• NRP certification preferred
• Medium Gray/Pewter scrubs required

You will be part of a staffing model that includes 12–16 RRTs for adult service lines and 3–4 RRTs for NICU/Pediatric service lines on night shift. This assignment offers the opportunity to work in a hospital setting with exposure to multiple units and patient populations.
