Med Surg RN Job in Kealakekua, HI

You will work as a Registered Nurse in a float pool role across medical surgical and telemetry units at Kona Community Hospital. Your primary responsibility is to provide direct patient care while flexing between assignments based on daily census and acuity needs.

Your Responsibilities:

• Float between two medical surgical/telemetry units as census and staffing require
• Provide care for medical surgical overflow patients assigned to the ICU and ED
• Deliver skilled nursing care using evidence-based practices and hospital protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes
• Maintain comprehensive documentation in the EPIC electronic health record system

Schedule & Duration:

You will work night shifts on a schedule of 72 hours every two weeks. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning August 31, 2026.

Requirements:

• Current RN license (Hawaii)
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system
• Ability to adapt to multiple patient care environments
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Compensation:
